Prerequisites
Before you start, you will need the following information from PostHog.- Personal API Key
- Domain

To obtain the Personal API Key:
- Navigate to the Personal API keys section in your PostHog account.
- Click the “Create Personal API key” button.
- In the modal that appears, select either your Organization, Project, or both.
- Under scopes, select at least “Read” permissions to view your PostHog data in Peaka.
- Give your API key a label and click “Create key”.
- Copy the generated API key (note: it will only be shown once).

- You can select your domain from the dropdown menu by this information. You can find it under Settings > Project > General as in the screenshot below.

Connecting PostHog to Peaka
- Navigate to the data model page in Peaka.
- In the side menu bar, click the “New Data Source” button to initiate the connection process.
- In the modal that appears, select “PostHog” as your data source.
- Enter a name for your data source and click the “Next” button.

- You’ll proceed to the second step where you need to select your Organization and Organization Project from the dropdown menus. After making your selections, click the “Next” button to continue.
